I survive, we survive

Assalamualaikum. :)

well hello! be excited please, today is the day. I am going to write a loooooooong post on OBS. *bapak lapuk gila dah dua bulan dah kot!*

as most of you know, as Peneraju Scholar, it is a MUST for me to go to Outward Bound School (OBS) *toughest surviving camp in Malaysia* .

I was like 'tak nak tak nak. kenapa kena pergi semua ni?????? let's go bribe a doctor please. say anything, ANYTHING,  I ada semput ke apa as long as I don't have to go. Sejujurnya, I memang tak pernah pergi camping mana-mana pun. ada la sekaliiii waktu Jamboree Pandu Puteri, tapi tu pun eleeeeeeeeeh camping bodoh-bodoh je, asal malam je menari, asal menari je malam. tang mana yang survival camp nye ntah.

but this time, I know it'll be different. tengok portfolio dekat website die pun dah scary. sole camping? apakah itu?

tapi dalam tak nak tak nak pun, pergi jugak....................ceit.

1st day was normal. We played games. normal team building games.

normal. main-main tayar je. highlight : kegembiraan terpancar tatkala berpegangan tangan dengan erat.

that was the last time we played anything normal. After that, all were expedition.

1st expedition was jungle tracking/hill climbing. I don't remember the distance, but it was sooooooo tiring. why? because I don't like running, walking, climbing, standing, in short, anything that use legs. penambah keterukan, hujan turun dengan lebatnya. siap sempat lencun, kering, lencun balik, kering.

Wanna know a secret? kan I sememangnya sejak azalinya pemalas and selfish at times kan? *pengakuan dasyat bakal menyusul* I refused to carry a gallon bottle. each team must carry their own gallon bottles as we won't get any fresh mineral water once we're at the top and since gallon bottle is big, we don't have to carry one each. 8 is enough for a team. so in a team, they'll be like 2 or 3 person who don't have to carry the gallon bottle. because I malas, and I tahu I tak kuat pun, I pergi tak ambil gallon bottle tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. so in the end, the big, healthy me, wasn't carrying any gallon bottle.

-.-'

but then, I saw Ijah. I saw her. this small petite girl, seriously, she is soooooo smaaaaallll, got asma some more, was trying her best to carry the gallon bottle.

I was healthier. bigger. stronger *i think* . tapi kenapa selfish sangat sampai sanggup biar budak berbadan kecil angkat gallon bottle yang saiz hampir 1/4 badan dia tu? kenapa selfish sangat? kenapa?

zaaaaaaaaaappppppp. menusuk.

I took the gallon bottle from her. She apologised. She was sorry she became a 'burden'. I have to carry her gallon bottle. her responsibility. :'( Ija, why so pure? I am the one that should be sorry.
I was selfish.

sorry.

next expedition was kayak. oh yang ini boleh berlagak. siapa pernah kayak pusing satu pangkor? kayak tengah-tengah laut dari pukul 8 pagi sampai pukul 5.30 petang? pernah? pernah? I pernah. :D ini pun sungguh memenatkan jugak. you know why? you have to fight with yourself. it was tiring. seriously. you can stop. nak berhenti, berhenti lah. but then if you stop, when can you reach the land? tak payah cakap when lah, how? kalau berhenti tengah-tengah tu, macam mana nak balik? duduk la tengah-tengah laut tu sampai bila-bila. sebab tu lah, nak tak nak kena jugak habiskan expedisi. again, this expedition taught us a very important lesson in life, to finish what we started. dan lagi satu, bak kata Adib, two is better than one. kita perlukan partner untuk melalui liku-liku dan ombak kehidupan? haha. semua sebab dia kepenatan kayak sorang-sorang walhal orang lain semua in pair.

'kami pendatang asing'

asal expedisi air je memang dah tak boleh beza dah siapa lelaki siapa perempuan. takut burn punya pasal, tapi balik hitam jugak. :((((

last expedition was whaling. I love whaling, heck I excel in whaling. kalau tak dapat kerja jadi auditor ni memang dah jadi dah professional whaler. heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. the reason why I was so good at whaling is because we were sitting. we use only our hands. kaki tak guna langsung. told you I hate anything that use legs. :))

nothing much for whaling because the lesson taught is basic, teamwork.

we don't take lots of pictures, but the memory, seriously, it stays.

Yong Yap.

I survive. though hitam.
