Assalamualaikum

It was not my intention to leave this blog unattended for so long, but somehow, it happened. This time, it was not because I was uninspired or anything, it was more on - I need time to relearn myself. The changes is not subtle I tell you, I won't say that I am a completely different person, but close, maybe around 70%? Yes that sounds about right.

On a different note, I started a business!! This time it's for real for real, because this time I am not doing it alone. I have Ayu to keep my motivation in check. haha. Actually we're each other motivation. When one wanted to give up, the other push the other to move forward.

Plus, this time I am doing something that I really really like, it's not like when I was selling tudung & clothes, that business was easy and gives good money, but, I don't really know nor interested in fashion. Though I must say, nowadays, tending plants feels like work too hahahahha. I used to love to go to nurseries, now, it feels like work. It's normal I guess, feeling comes and goes but what's different this time around is, plants are living things. They keep giving you reasons to love them with every milestone, I got excited. When new leaves came out, when new flowers came out and when I discovered new plants. I guess it's true too when people say as long as you keep falling in love, you're good.

One of the question that we got a lot is "Is this a temporary thing? Are we following trends during MCO?"

No.

This has been an on and off thing between me and Ayu, ever since we started getting into cactus and succulents few years back. We always wanted to open a mini nursery where we're surrounded by plants all day everyday. I even tried it once, I don't think I mentioned it here but I used to sell succulents to my colleagues, but at the time, we were inexperience plus we are quite broke ourselves to come out with the initial capital. With MCO though, with the rise in demands for houseplants and we somehow manage to save some money due to moratorium, we decided to push through with the plan.

and here we are now. <3

Pray for us guys. I really really really want to live long with my business.

Assalamualaikum

Fact: I miss compiling videos. I miss the feeling of having a finished product after hours of compiling random videos. I used to only compile my travel videos until I realised I was glorifying holidays too much. Is my everyday life not as interesting as my life during travelling? It probably is hahaha but it's definitely not unimportant. My daily, mundane, boring life is also as important if not more crucial for my existence. So this year, I started this monthly instastory series where I compile random videos that I shot for the month into several seconds of instastory video. Unfortunately, with the MCO, that plan was put on a halt too. My last instastory video was in March. T-T

Fast forward to today, this happen...

I feel more alive than I've been in months! I love how this turns out. I mean, yes, I still have lots of areas I need to improve on but for now, I just want to appreciate the fact that I started creating again. ❤ anddddd can we also appreciate that this was shot and edited on my phone. My still working Iphone 7!

I love keeping memories and to share good stuff that I learn/encounter. It's the very same reason why this blog exist. However, I am also very shy in a way that I don't like to be in front of the camera and I don't like attention. I initially thought that you have to be pretty to vlog. I mean, come onnnn, look at how pretty and fashionable all the vloggers are. Little did I know, I was limiting myself to only specific type of content on youtube. This year, silent vlogs keeps popping up on my Youtube recommendation and boy was I surprised. It's a whole different community out there. The community of "headless" (only show half of their body) vloggers and "silent" (speaks through caption) vlogger.

I thought to myself, "eh this is doable," (me and my never ending over confident)

Now that I think this is doable, I need to choose my audience. This is my "like to share good stuff" persona. As shy as I am, idokla nak syok sendiri, sendiri upload, sendiri je view. If that's the case I might as well not upload it anywhere. If that's the case I should just keep it on my computer.

However, even this is not easy. I wanted to share but I don't want people to be forced to consume my content. Unfortunately, that is what instagram is. As long as you're my follower, you will be fed my content, regardless you want it or not. Of course, you can always unfollow people but even that is a little bit complicated than it seems. That is a whole different blog post, i'll write about it someday. So yup, at this point, I don't want to continue my monthly instastory series. Hence the decision to upload on youtube.

Unlike any other social media, for both this blog and my youtube page, you consume my content because you want to. For whatever reason, you're here because you care about me enough to know what I have been up to/ what I love to share. I am not a famous blogger/vlogger, never I intended to become one, my circle is really really small and I love this small circle of mine ❤ I guess what I am really saying is, thank you for liking my content enough to keep coming back ❤

P/S: I am into plants these days, expect more plant content.

......that happen in March tapi baru nak update sekarang. -_____-"

Assalamualaikum

It was supposed to be last year because that's the actual 10th year after leaving school but oh well, letup is part of our motto so that did not happened. Luckily, some of us took initiative and took actual steps, organised actual meeting to push this through....and I, the shy me from school, somehow got dragged into being one of the committee. haha. It shocked almost all my close friends.

If I were to be completely honest, I did not want to be part of the committee. It was during my peak period where I'd to push myself to stay late nights at the office, I had to be in office on some weekends too and as if that wasn't enough, I had to add my commitment and be a part of the organiser of this reunion, life was just too demanding at that time. However, if I were to compare myself and the responsibilities the rest of the committee members had, huh, mine was peanuts. Looking at how diligent they were, doing things for free, without getting paid, how can I complain? Such dedication to fulfill a promise; 10th year anniversary reunion, they deserve recognition.

Part of the comittee members. I salute their dedication and their effort in bracing it all and make this happen. Only we know what happen behind close door. The frustration, the desperation, the disappointment, thankfully we made it out alive.

For the reunion, I decided to make this as the door gift! My first attempt at creating a door gift out of something that I love. I did not do all this alone. Emak and Dik Yah helped. It was a fun project. On top of this, I was in charge of something else that I love too; making montage videos. Although I like how it turns out, everything was still very amateur-ish. Thankfully our professional photographer friend Lutfi wasn't around if not I would have die out of embarrassment right there and then.

Survival tips when taking pictures with skinny pretty friends: Hide behind them

It was supposed to be a formal event complete with official program flow but oh well, that did not happen. It was just a total chaos. As soon as people came in, no one sat still. People were too busy walking, eating and taking picture it was impossible to follow the set itinerary. In the end, we just let things flow naturally. I guess, some things never change. We are still the rebellious, loud bunch like we were in high school.

Kids! It's a bit unrealistic if it has been 10 years since you left school if there were no kids around, don't you think?

Last but not least, of course, the usual. P/S: In case you're wondering why I took photos with the same person over and over again, it's probably because they are my only friends. -___-" #introvertproblem

All in all, the event was a success. A lot of our friends praised the event saying they enjoyed themselves. In the moment of weakness, Kerry almost make a promise for 20th anniversary. Almost je lah because we stopped him before he talked. Let's not make anymore promises shall we.

Assalamualaikum

Me and my friend were discussing about how we're just merely existing rather than living. Our days were filled with us, melepek everyday. We're either with our phone scrolling nonsense or we watch dramas after dramas then we wonder how good things never happen to us. daaa  -_-

Speaking of which, lately I've been really into this variety show call "I Live Alone". As how the title suggest, the show is about how celebrities who live alone, lead their life, on a daily basis. Another pointless use of my time I know, Faiz has been nagging me with his "kenapa nak tengok macam mana orang hidup?"

But

I did learn something from the show.

By looking at diligent people like Ji Soo, Han Cha Ah, Brave Brother etc etc live their life, I am inspired to be diligent too! I got inspired to learn new skills thanks to Ji Soo, I try not to procrastinate thanks to Han Cha Ah, I got interested to learn how to cook thanks to Guk Joo's fuss-less cooking, The list is endless! Besides that, I also learn on what not to be by looking at how people like Si Eon or Kian84 live.

See, I am learning. :P

Anyway, as part of me and my friend "find-the-purpose-of-life" mission, we each needed to find a hobby and we found one! A hobby that miraculously, both of us enjoy! Growing succulent! #matchmadeinheaven

Never thought that a hobby can be this fulfilling. <3
