Ever heard a rumour?

If you had, what was your reaction?

Do you believe it? I do. Sometimes. Because I believe in ‘Kalau tiada angin masakan pokok bergoyang’.

Now I realize how stupid I was.

Memang, naturally, kalau ada angin, pokok memang akan bergoyang. Tapi, tak semestinya pokok akan bergoyang hanya kerana angin. Ada banyak sebab untuk pokok bergoyang.

Mungkin monyet.

Macam-macam.

Tetapi kenapa kite selalu ingat angin adalah penyebab pokok bergoyang?

Mungkin sebab ia lebih senang. Lebih senang untuk percaya kabar angin itu bulat-bulat daripada cuba untuk membuktikan sendiri sama ada khabar angin itu betul atau tidak.

How if the position were reversed? What if, the subject of the false rumour was you?

What would be your reaction?

 Don’t you feel sad? People are saying bad things about you based on false rumour. And you, you can’t even say a word to defend yourself.

Unfair, isn’t it?

Now think back to the times you believe any rumour. Do you think you’re being fair to the victim?
