I am in the middle of sorting and processing my hard drive (brain) right now. Hopefully, all will go back to normal soon. Till then, here is an entry I wrote somewhere in February.

My parents have always dream of settling down in Johor..What's stopping them? us. I love a lot of things about Johor. From the foods to the royal family and even JDT (say whaat??), there's too much to love but the idea of staying there permanently, not so much.
For this, somehow, our parents are the one to be blame. :P The thing is, Johor, specifically Batu Pahat, is our parents hometown...they were born and breed there..that was their playground, their school, the place they fall in love and many more....but for us, it's just where our grandparents live. Since we moved around a lot, it was hard for us to go there often. Especially if we were in Sarawak. We went back once in two years....So we never got time to connect with the place..if anything, we feel more connected with Sibu (we moved there 3 times!)...seriously, if later I suddenly go off grid and nobody could contact me, search for me there. :P

So, when Emak wanted to go to Morib to meet with a Kampung house contractor, kitorang layankan jee...Deep down, we all know, this will never happen. Poor Pakcik contractor has to explain everything to Emak all for nothing. :P Though at the end Emak forgo her dream to settle down in Batu Pahat, the trip was not completely wasted..we had fun chilling near Pantai Morib.
