JEJU 2019 (WINTER) - FULL ITINERARY & BUDGET

Hello hello. As you might have already know if you follow me on instagram, recently I went to Jeju, the island of many charm. Jeju is really mind blowingly pretty....it's not like I have no expectation, I have seen Jeju many many times on Korean show so I have some idea what it looks like...even then, to witness it with my own eyes, it still blows my mind. At one point, Ayu and I was googling where else should we go, she showed me the pictures she googled and she was like, "cantik weh," and I was like, "dekat mana yang tak cantik dekat Jeju ni?". They are all computer's screensaver material.

It all started late last year when we were commitment-less and we were bored. We didn't have anything planned yet for 2019 which is weird because we always have plans for the next year (travel tip: book flight tickets wayyyy in advance if you want to save cost). We decided to go to Seoul for some shopping (acah kaya) and dah alang-alang, why not go to Jeju too. The initial plan was to stay in Jeju for 4 days and fly to Seoul for 3 days for some skincare shopping but the universe has other plan for us. It was during the Lunar New Year so Jeju-Seoul flights cost triple than their usual price it's insane if we were to proceed with the initial plan. So thus begin our 8 days long trip to Jeju.

Because we spent 8 long days at one place alone, this is the most relaxing trip among all the trips we've taken. We woke up late (sometimes we went out at 11am!), we don't rush and take things slowly and because it's just the two of us, it's easy to discuss what we really wanted to do and exclude other touristy thingy that we don't really feel like doing. All in all, this is the first trip that I come home feeling well rested and recharged :P.

Other than, this trip is very different that other trips because it's not a budget trip. 1.) We even checked-in our luggages! (which we never do before to save cost). We blame it on old age hahaha. Nowadays, we are just too tired to pack minimalistly (still think I'm awesome for packing carry-on only for our previous Tokyo trip). 2.) it's only the two of us as opposed to usual group trip. It's cheaper to go in groups. That way you can divide a lot of the expenses with how many of you there but this time, we only can divide it by two. 3.) It's a trip with a lot of unexpected event and improper planning. Jeju's weather varies extremely from one day to another it's really hard to predict what's going to happen the next day. We had to cancel and re-plan our itinerary which a lot of time, end up in a disaster. If you know Jeju you'll see a lot of flaws in below itinerary. T-T
